Car Chix at Race & Performance Expo

Car Chix at Race & Performance ExpoNot able to attend the upcoming 10th Annual Race and Performance Expo?   Our friends over at Car Chix will be at Race & Performance Expo live streaming the event on the Car Chix Facebook page.   

The live feed will feature a special segment entitled “The Women of the Midwest Nostalgia Pro Stocks:  “Paying Tribute to the Legends” and a hand lettering demonstration by Kustom Kulture Artist, “Brando”.

“This will be must see event,” says Jeanette DesJardins, President and Founder of Car Chix. “It will be like taking a walk down memory lane of the good ‘ol days of drag racing with modern day technology, perspectives and views.”

The women of the Midwest Nostalgia Pro Stocks segment will be discussing their personal experiences in racing with Car Chix – how they first became involved with drag racing, their roles on the race team and what they see for the future of women in racing.  

World Renowned artist, “Brando” from Kustom Kulture will be free-hand lettering Mike Ruth’s Bob Glidden Nostalgia Pro Stock tribute car.  

The live stream event will be filmed by Amy Dayton of ARS Promotions for an upcoming segment of their hit TV show, ARS-TV.  In addition, a major sponsorship announcement is expected to be made with a leading performance manufacturer.

Motorsport Team of the Year 2016

The Female Motorsport Team of the Year 2016 category received 25 nominations and 54 votes for the Horsepower & Heels Women of the Year Awards.    This category recognizes the team that contributes the most to women in motorsports.    An early front runner set the stage, but another nominee closed the gap for a 2 vote victory.

Female Motorsport Team of the Year 2016 – Randy Meyer Racing

Motorsport Team of the Year 2016Horsepower & Heels is proud to announce the winner of the Women of the Year Female Motorsport Team  of the Year 2016 category – NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster Super Team, Randy Meyer Racing.    Home of Meyer Sister Racing duo Megan Meyer and Rachel Meyer, the family TAD dynasty Randy Meyer Racing began with father Randy and has now debuted rising talent in rookie daughters Megan and Rachel.    The team regularly assists other young developing drivers with licensing and TAD debuts.   

Megan Meyer completed her first full season in the TAD class for 2016, with Rachel Meyer making her TAD debut mid-season.    Both ladies are instrumental behind the scenes as well, crewing and maintaining the family business.   Rachel will make her full-season debut with a new dragster in 2017, and the team plans to continue their winning legacy in the class.

Our friends over at Car Chix have announced their next Ladies Only Drag Racing event at Bryon Dragway in Byron, Illinois.  This event is a special program held for women competing in all levels of competition — from beginner to Pro level racers.

All About MeDrag Racing for Life Fundraiser

The event is Car Chix’s annual Drag Racing For Life fundraiser, benefitting the All About Me Program at Rochelle Community Hospital.   There will be a mix of 50/50 Raffles, Item/Ticket Raffles, Silent Auctions & Contests throughout the day with proceeds benefitting breast cancer awareness and prevention – All About Me Program.

Carchix Women of Motorsports Calendar Contest

CarChix CalendarA great opportunity for women in the motorsports world:  CarChix.com is hosting their annual  Women of Motorsports Contest!  

The Car Chix Women of Motorsports Contest is an annual online contest that recognizes women in motorsports, female racers and ladies in the automotive industry world-wide.

The contest began on September 12th and ends Saturday, September 19th.   Voting is currently underway on the CarChix Facebook page.  Though voting is in-progress, its not too late to submit a photo that highlights you and your vehicle of choice and is open to all women with ANY type of vehicle including, but not limited to: bikes, cars, trucks, dragsters, boats, etc.

Submit your vote in support for your favorite ladies of racing!

PRIZES:

  • Top 12 Ladies with the most “LIKES” will receive an exclusive invite to be featured in the Official 2016 Car Chix Calendar and will be featured every month throughout 2016.
  • Top 12 women will all receive a copy of the Official 2016 Calendar and official Car Chix Stickers.
  • The Photo with the most “LIKES” will receive a $25 VISA Gift Card & The Ultimate Car Chix Gear Package and be named the Official 2015 Women of Motorsports winner.

Winners are selected based on how many people *LIKE* the contestants photo entry in the official ’2015 Women of Motorsports Contest’ Album on the Official Car Chix Facebook Page.

HOW TO ENTER:

  1.  Submit your entry for the Women of Motorsports Contest by filling out the entry form on CarChix.com.
  2. Your entry, it will then be added to the ’2015 Women of Motorsports Contest’ Photo Album on the Car Chix Facebook Page by CarChix staff.
